special enforcement

     Several times a year, the South Londonderry Township Police Department participates in Pennsylvania's "Buckle-Up PA" and "Aggressive Driver" programs.  During these times, Officers are assigned to particular areas of the Township, focusing on the enforcement of specific traffic offenses.  This enforcement enhances our normal efforts, as Officers are limited in time able to be spent in these areas.  Some of the overtime expense generated by these enforcement efforts is reimbursed by the State.  We believe that our participation in this program helps to make our roadways safer.
